Morphing Materials – Custom Creations and More

Well hello there! Some of you know me and some of you may not…yet! So let me tell you a little story about myself.

My name is Laurie. I was born in Ottawa and raised in the country outside of our nations capital. I moved to London, Ontario at the tender age of 18. About 4 years later, I met my hubby and moved to St. Thomas, Ontario (home of Canada’s only elevated park and yet known widely because a train killed poor Jumbo the Elephant about a hundred years ago right here in our lovely city!). I owned a convenience store/fishing tackle shop for 24 years and most recently have owned a very busy tire shop in the center of town for 11 years.

Not being a human that takes to doing nothing very well, I have decided to build a website (beautifully done by Jeff Butler of Umbrella Content Solutions) and have decided to sell the things that I have made and sold for years but more on a full time basis now. I am always on the lookout for new ideas and patterns and I hope you enjoy what I have on the website so far.

On this blog, I guess we shall see what transpires. I have no real goals with it yet, no real idea of content. It might end up being a series of funny experiences (or maybe even the not so funny but maybe some where I have learned a lesson) from my life in business over the years. I have some great landlord (yes I was one of those for a very long time too….what felt like an eternity sometimes actually) stories.
